Kithood
Truthfully, Ashstorm hasn't the faintest idea of where he came from. All he knows is that one day, he was found by a FeatherClan patrol near the edge of the territory as a tiny newborn. They took him back to camp, being adopted by one of the queen and being raised as a clan cat regardless of his strange origins. Now, he's completely loyal to the clan that took him in, and he can't imagine living anywhere else.

Apprenticeship
As a kit, he wasn't as rambunctious as his denmates, but he was very friendly to everyone and anyone he met. He did get mocked for a little while because of the fact that he technically wasn't of FeatherClan blood, but he didn't let it get to him too much. During apprenticeship, he excelled in planning and in hunting, but when it came to combat practice, he wasn't very good at offensive moves. His defensive ones are pretty good, however. He received his warrior name for devising a plan to lure a fox away from the camp.

Adult Life
After Ashstorm's warrior ceremony, he spent many of his days hunting and patrolling the Clan's borders non-stop. He began to feel like his clanmates judged him for his non-Clan heritage, and that if he worked for the Clan as hard as he possibly could that they wouldn't think of him that way anymore. It was during this time that he began to take notice of another warrior in the Clan who worked tirelessly: Hollyshade. He was drawn to her, and attempted to become closer to her, admiring her for her strength of heart and loyalty. While they were out on a quick hunt together, the two warriors faced down the old fox that had injured Hollyshade and scarred her face, and together made it away unscathed. Ashstorm admitted his feelings for her that day, and the two of them became mates. Hollyshade admitted to him that she was unable to have kits because of a previous experience, but this didn't bother Ashstorm in the slightest. He was just happy to be with her.

He also met a rogue she-cat named Jesse when he was hunting one day, after he had fallen from a tree and injured his shoulder. She helped him walk back to his camp, despite their worries of getting caught, and he was grateful to her. They became friends, although Ashstorm still had his doubts over the fact that she spent a lot of time in Clan territory.

He went on a short hunt a few days later to excersise his injury, running into a scrawny gray she-cat, who carried the scents of a loner. She apologized to him profusely and ran, and this coupled with the fact that they smelled similar lead Ashstorm to come to the conclusion that that she-cat was his absent mother.

Ashstorm and Hollyshade found a very young kit hidden in some bushes during that upcoming leafbare, and they brought him back to the camp to help him recover from his malnourished state. They adopted him as their own, seeing as they thought Hollyshade could not have kits herself, and named him Alderkit. While their relationship was rocky at first, Ashstorm and Hollyshade accepted their roles as his foster parents.

However, against all odds, Hollyshade finds out that she is pregnant with Ashstorm's kits after the newleaf Gathering. Ashstorm is stunned, and he and Alderkit become very concerned for her well-being when it becomes clear that this pregnancy is not going to be an easy one...
